Buy more, Borrow less

It's no contradictory that books are sources of knowledge and are the precious as nothing else. With the increase of reader clubs and literary societies in Nepal, the book reading culture has definitely risen up but regarding the book buying culture, things are not satisfactory. People who seem to be good reader also buys less and expects to borrow or get from friends. Such people want not to be back behind those part of people who make themselves up to date reading new books. Certainly there are some reasons for that.

People have different interests and they spend according to the same. All want to keep themselves up to date but in own choices. Some adore new outfits whereas some want to make themselves up to date in gadgets. But to talk about me, i buy books whenever i get some bucks. Not because buying books i can upgrade my book learning staus but to get things that I can get encouraged, knowledge and gain much confidence, to live with positive attitude and see things from different perspectives.

The culture of buying newspapers have gone up to large extent but in case of books, little only has. we should be happy for this little bit change also but comparing to other neighbouring nations we still are far behind in the race of book buying culture.

Books should also be taken as gadets or outfits and should be kept in par with them because their worth is not less than gadgets or outfits. These stuffs may show you smart outwardly but your inner smartness can be boosted and upgraded through reading books. Those who want to be smarter themselves in front of others, books might enhance them along with outfits and gadgets.

Books are treasures that have their own worth. If you have a good library in your home, your children will get access to go "out of the box" and can really boost their level of understanding at an earlier age. Mostly my friends borrow books from me. I lend them and ask them to return by themselves after they finish. But to my surprise most of them do not talk about the book they had taken and few simply convince to return time and again. The books you lend does not come back in the way it goes. This may due to the negative attitute of some people who are not serious readers and just want to show off.

Hence, if you really want to prove yourself smart, up to date and innovative, you would better set up small library or bookselves and start buying books that can arise the positive aura, fill you with inspiration and pour knowledge in you. Reading habit will itself catch in you if you develop habit of buying books knowing their values and effects.
