Albeit the Nepali Film Industry is apexing due to the interesting and eye-catching stunts and actions, actors and fight directors get their physical body highly affected because of insufficient film-making technologies. No life insurance policy is adopted in Nepali Film Industry by concerned parties. To overcome dangers and accidents while shooting has become an art of living to such action actors and artists.
The health condition of such stunt actors and artists is at stake while shooting terrible scenes and plots. They are urged to do so for hefty sum of money through which they get. Superstar Rajesh Hamal says that injuries would occur despite their alertness. New born action actor Rajesh Dhungana said that he had got a new life after he was saved from explosion while shooting a film. To be a stunt actor in Nepal, one has to stake his\her life because of poor and insufficient technologies used for making films.
Fight directors often get injured while shooting. N.B. maharjan, Rajendra Khadgi and who not, most of the fight directors have been suffering injuries while teaching artists. N.B. Maharjan lost his few teeth and sometimes got his hand, leg and vertebra too broken. Another fight director Rajendra Khadgi has got his vertebra fractured. He had got his nose’s bone broken while shooting “Garib”. All the bodily problems that get occurred while shooting are being treated by the injured artists themselves.
Nikhil Uprety is the very actor who has become injured for maximum times. He is habituated of doing stunts so it has become his way of living. He has got his most fingers of his hand broken. His many rib bones were fractured. Brokening of hands, fingers are not shocking events to him due to his own profession.
These ill effects are to be faced by Nepali stunt actors and artists. All this is due to lack of developed technology in his film industry. Film producers and film makers grunt about their modus operandi that they are the conservationist of Nepalese arts and culture but they do not provide any treatment facilities to injured artists and technicians who are the characters of their film. Film Development Board of Nepal must search the appropriate way and implement efficiently for the security of life of film artists.
It is quite certain that the Nepali politics has made a revolutionary change in its field but Nepali Film Industry is still in the same position. Films are the prime areas to make fast and deep influence than others because all the genres of creation are implied on it so this industry is to be made highly developed. May this little knowledge be ejaculated to the authorities of Ministry of culture?
